Week 2 Update: August 16 - August 20

Dear Wynn Families,

Please see what is happening this week below:

  • This week, only students will enter the campus in the morning.  Families will still need to line up at the gates in a single file line; however, with only students entering, the lines will move quickly.  In the afternoon, families are welcome to enter the campus to pick up their students.

  • Beginning this week, all students will enter campus at 8:40 AM.  Students in PreK thru 1st grade will go straight to their classrooms.  Students in 2nd grade thru 5th grade will walk to the multipurpose room, pick up breakfast, and go straight to their classrooms.  It is important students arrive right at 8:40 to ensure they have time for breakfast.   

  • To ensure the safety of our community, all students in all grades and all adults on campus must have a mask on at all times that completely covers their nose and mouth, which includes when families are in the parking lot or outside.

  • If your student is not feeling well or has any symptoms of COVID-19 listed below, has been exposed to someone with COVID-19, or tested positive with COVID-19 (provide a copy of test results to the heath office), they must stay home from school. Notify the School Nurse if any of these occur.

    • Cough

    • Chills

    • Sore Throat

    • Muscle Pain

    • Fever 100° or Higher

    • Shortness of Breath or Difficulty Breathing

    • New Loss of Taste or Smell

    • Congestion

    • Fatigue

    • Headache

    • Runny Nose

    • Nausea/Vomiting

    • Diarrhea

  • The school dress code must be followed by all students.  Students must wear closed toe shoes, solid colored tops with a collar and no logos, and bottoms that are fingertip length or longer with no holes.  Hats or  hoods will only be permitted to be worn outside.  If a family needs assistance with uniforms, please let the teacher know.

  • This week, students will be assigned a device unless a device is already checked out from last year.  Teachers will show students how to log into the device and access the programs we use.  Then, teachers will notify families when the student will be bringing the device to and from school.  Students must carry the device in a backpack and charge the device each night.

  • Esta semana, solo los estudiantes ingresarán al campus por la mañana. Las familias todavía necesitarán hacer fila en las puertas en una sola fila; sin embargo, con solo estudiantes ingresando, las filas se moverán rápidamente. Por la tarde, las familias pueden ingresar al campus para recoger a sus estudiantes.

  • A partir de esta semana, todos los estudiantes ingresarán al campus a las 8:40 AM. Los estudiantes de Pre K a 1er grado irán directamente a sus salones de clases. Los estudiantes de 2do a 5to grado caminarán hasta el salón de usos múltiples, recogerán el desayuno e irán directamente a sus salones de clases. Es importante que los estudiantes lleguen a las 8:40 AM para asegurarse de que tengan tiempo para desayunar.

  • Para garantizar la seguridad de nuestra comunidad, todos los estudiantes de todos los grados y todos los adultos en el campus deben tener una cubre bocas puesta en todo momento que cubra completamente su nariz y boca, lo que incluye cuando las familias están en el estacionamiento o afuera.

  • Si su estudiante no se siente bien o tiene alguno de los síntomas de COVID-19 que se enumeran a continuación, ha estado expuesto a alguien con COVID-19 o dio positivo con COVID-19 (proporcione una copia de los resultados de la prueba a la oficina de salud), debe quedarse en casa y no ir a a la escuela. Notifique a la enfermera de la escuela si ocurre alguno de estos.

    • Tos

  • Todos los estudiantes deben seguir el código de vestimenta de la escuela. Los estudiantes deben usar zapatos cerrados, blusas de colores sólidos con cuello y sin logotipos, y pantalones que lleguen a la punta de los dedos o más largos sin agujeros. Solo se permitirá usar sombreros o capuches afuera. Si una familia necesita ayuda con los uniformes, avísele al maestro.

  • Esta semana, a los estudiantes se les asignará un dispositivo a menos que ya se haya prestado un dispositivo del año pasado. Los maestros mostrarán a los estudiantes cómo iniciar sesión en el dispositivo y acceder a los programas que usamos. Luego, los maestros notificarán a las familias cuándo el estudiante traerá el dispositivo hacia y desde la escuela. Los estudiantes deben llevar el dispositivo en una mochila y cargar el dispositivo cada noche.
